Untitled (2021) – Arantxa Echeverría

  • Who is the artist?

Arantxa Echeverría (France, 1975) is an internationally recognized French artist, whose work primarily focuses on carved wood paintings, installations, and conceptual art.

Her artistic practice is rooted in abstraction, often exploring geometric patterns, movement, and the idea of a hidden order beneath visible forms.

She currently lives and works in Bucharest, Romania.

    Her recent exhibitions include:

    • The Real Line, E-Werk Contemporary Art Centre, Berlin (2021)

    • Miart – International Fair for Contemporary Art, with Baril Gallery, Milan

    • Mythologies, Abbey of Neumünster, Luxembourg

  • What is the purpose the artist wants to reach with the installation?

It is not a specific Colnago ́s showroom commission but part of Colnago’s private collection of contemporary art.

This work focuses on the geometric idea of movement. His work expresses mathematical precision, just as Colnago bicycles are an example of precision and calculation.

In addition, his kinetic conception of movement is complemented by the series by Tomás García Asensio.
